Donations are processed securely through Stripe. Maximum contribution is $1,429.70 per individual for 2026, and all contributions are reported to Elections BC.
BC campaign finance rules
A few rules before you give.
The rules, in plain terms.
- Maximum contribution: $1,429.70 per individual for 2026. Updated by Elections BC every January 1st.
- Donations accepted only from individuals. Corporations, unions, and other organizations cannot contribute.
- You must be a BC resident and either a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident.
- You must use your own funds. Donations made on behalf of someone else are prohibited under the Local Elections Campaign Financing Act.
- All contributions are reported to Elections BC after the election, as required by law.
